My Holiday #AdventureAThon 2017 TBR!!

Just in time for the holidays, Jasmine from Novel Thoughts has created her own 'create your own adventure' readathon, complete with a map and a guide for December.

How to read the map.
  • Begin at the bottom.
  • As you follow the path you will come across sign posts, these sign posts will give you your challenge instructions.
  • Sometimes the signposts will simply give you your prompt. Other times you will have to choose between two different prompts.
  • If you have to choose between two prompts, you will then follow the path in the direction of your chosen prompt.
  • At no point should you ever be moving DOWN the map. You should always be moving from the bottom to the top.
  • Continue up the map until you reach the end of the path.
  • To save space, the signposts only have the theme word of the prompt written. The full prompts can be found in the table below.
At the end of the path your character will be waiting for you! There are four characters in total.
 The challenges

The challenges are here to describe each plot point of the map above. I've been told that the challenges are more difficult, but I don't think I'll think about it too much for my TBR.

On my map, I went from Presents >> Santa >> Wish >> Wish post >> Nice/Naughty post >> Nice >> Jingle >> Penguin Team!! Each post leads to being part of a team at the end of the map. So I'm Team Holiday Penquin, which is hosted by Jasmine from NovelThoughts herself.

My TBR

So without further ado, here is my TBR list for each plot point on the map:

Presents: Read a book you got as a gift

Something in Between by Melissa de la Cruz, which was a gift from my #TBTBSanta last year.

Santa: Read a book with Red on the Cover

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Wish: Fairytale Retelling

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Cookies: Read a book while eating festive food

I'll probably be reading the same book, so I'll choose ACOTAR lol.

Nice: Read a book that a friend or family member recommended

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, recommended by my buddy Packy!!

Jingle Bells: Read a book with 'silver' in the title

My TBR doesn't have any silver in the title, so I'm going to skip it for now. If something comes up, I'll add it.

Penquin: Read a contemporary book

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

Are you participating in Adventure-A-Thon? What team are you on? What books are you reading for your team? Leave comments below!
